Born at Kanakapura India in 1935 as the first son of Gadasalli Subramanya and Subbalakshmi his early schooling was in the village. As there was no college there, he moved to Bangalore in 1950. After obtaining bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mysore in 1956 he moved to Bombay in search of employment. His first managerial job came when he was appointed as National Sales Manager by a British Company of the J Arthur Rank group when he was 25. Since then he held managerial positions with 2 other multinational corporations before migrating to USA in 1977. He became
a naturalized US citizen in 1983.Took his MBA from Iowa state in the year 1989 while working as a Marketing Executive at GE. After a 14 year GE career he went to  Joslyn Corp in Chicago in 1992 before calling it quits as Customer Service Manager in 1995.. Decades of  hands on Marketing and Customer Service experience in USA and India coupled with a life long passion for teaching led him to Teaching. He has conducted scores of workshops in Customer Service and Communication skills in India and USA, for employees, distributors and college students.
As a visiting Professor at some Bangalore colleges  he has taught International Marketing and Business Development. As a Rotarian he has is addressing Education and Environmental issues. He has published several books and newspaper articles.
